The ThunderChain File System (TCFS), and three ThunderChain Request for Comments (TRC) standards will support blockchain development, intends to combine features of existing platforms like five coin and IPFS, while adding new security and flexibility tools.
The news came out amid a ceremony hosted in Shenzhen, China, right before the company revealed the winners of an international blockchain application competition is also sponsored.
As Earlier reports, Xunlei first declared it was starting ThunderChain in April when the company asserted its new blockchain would be able to provide “processing capacity in the millions of transactions per second.”
The new TCFS, as per Friday’s release, is built specifically for blockchain platforms like ThunderChain. The TRC standards are intended to help build up the ecosystem by enabling third parties to build upon the company’s blockchain.
Lei Chen, CEO of Xunlei stated:
“The company is committed to amplifying the power of people through technological innovation.”
“That is why we launched ThunderChain File System and other new initiatives as we continue to help developers unleash the real value of blockchain. We are also delighted to see a large number of practical blockchain projects developed amid the challenge and would like to appreciate everyone for their great contribution.”
